Hey, Brad here, Singer for BOMS.
This Blues Album was an inspiration that came through me, not too me. This inspiration wouldbe shared with the world. I have so many people to thank, and my list may never be complete.
First, I thank my Wife for her unconditional Love, support and inspiration. I thank my Boys "Bradley an Robert",
Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Jimmy Vaughn, my "God Father of the Blues", Colby Emerson, Travis McCready and the boys of Bishop Gunn, Dean Neasham, Erin Grutzmacher, Terry Packer, "The Wolf" Dr. Howard Pitluck, Greg Mastriani, Nate from Barcelona, Danimal, P.H. Nafftah from the Roger Clyne Band, The Secret Tempe Studio and all our customers , clients and friends that had listened to early takes and or gave advise along the journey.
And of coarse, thank you, to the entire crew of BOMS.
My Best friend Rich Neville, "The Bass Player", "Nobody ever slayed the Bass better than Rich", formally with Poco, Vince Gill and Tonya Tucker
to name a few, put me in touch with Jeff Lusby- Breault a producer and formally with Mercy Fall, to help start this project. Jeff, "my mentor" not only did all the recordings, mixing, editing, etc. but is also
"The Guitarist", the slayer of the sound, the bringer of grooves an hooks, the guiding hand and my partner on this mission.
Janet Daniel came on as "The Drummer" to hold down the beat. The “Best Blues Drummer” on the circuit. Sporting the smallest kit with the Biggest, Boldest,
Bad Ass Sound.
An the final piece of magic is Trevor Turville, " Ace Slim", "The Keyboardist" on his "1950" Hammond B3 organ, bringing his over the top groove to slay the dragon!
I was extremely fortunate to have all these
“Gun Slingers” on the album.
While some may call the crew behind the man, "Musicians",
I prefer to call them "Magicians" because together they've created the surreal Magic!
Close your eyes, put on the cans, crank it and listen to the tracks, go deep and you'll see what I'm talking about. They say "When the student is ready, the master appears”.
To have this many masters show up at the same time, on the same album was a direct hit moreover, a lightning strike! They were given Carte Blanc when it came to their craft. They played with all their hearts and souls and they knocked it out of the park! Our lyrics are life lessons with a message that are more than just,
stories with a beat.
My wife and I have ventured the world over including Paris, Turkey, Greece an Rome.
And after sailing the 7 seas, we brought word from abroad. The word is the same there, as it is here.
As Cody Jinks once told me,
"Brad, The word is Home".
He's right, its always great to be home!
And relationships are like bank accounts, take care to always put in more than you take out, and your relationship will flourish.
Overdraw that account and it will be closed!
Our friends urged us to share our songs with the world.
So we bring you this album, which was yet another adventure in of itself. It was a labor of love!
On a sad note, We lost Rich in July of 2023 to cancer.
With Rich, playing bass and making music was his passion, it was his life. His request was to play this album live with the Wrecking Crew "just one time". It was at the top of his bucket list.
On his call, we expedited our first Show in December 2022. We had 2 weeks to prepare, get the word out and get in 1 practice.
To the fans that made it to our sold out show,
"Thank you, Rich is still beaming!"
Our hearts may never heal from losing Rich, we miss our Compadre every day and night!
There is a big hole in the Blues community that can never be filled. Rich would ask all his family and friends that enriched his life, made his shows, and traded inspiration, love and affection with him,
to keep the momentum going.
I want to give a special shout out to Billie Gibbons for visiting Rich recently at the shop. Thank you Billie!
And as you recall, you still owe Rich loot from a dice game.
Rich and Billie go way back.
